Woosah . . .

It's the new Zen-like expression that translates to intuitively concentrating on eliminating the negativity from your personal space. It's the necessary exhale before you respond to agitation; it's the "help me Jesus" when the depts of your patience is being put to the test; it's the "count to ten", 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 before you lose your temper. You get the picture. Breathe in deeply and say "W-o-o-s-a-h"

We have a No tolerance clause in our genetic make-up that says we will not tolerate Insults or Disrespect. We have expressions that we use like:

"Don't get on my bad side"
"Don't make me call you out"
"Don't mess around get your feelings hurt"
"You better be glad that I'm saved"
"Jesus keep me near the cross"

What's your line? I know you've got one. God's Word says that "the prudent quietly shrug off insults" -- (Proverbs 12:6). Well, it's time to shrug off the insults, W-o-o-s-a-h. . . and release the anger.

Human Anger is sinful, but a patient person is capable of showing great understanding. The bible warns us to "refrain from anger and turn from wrath". The Word teaches us that a gentle answer turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath. - Proverbs 15:1. Think! Before you speak. A person can destroy more of their own credibility then the credibility of their offender if you yield to human anger.

Human Anger is dangerous. If you are angry, you are at dangerous, and critical point. You are either going to entertain your anger and go all the way, or you're going to get rid of the anger and "sin not". The Lord says "Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns. - Jer. 4:3 Do not become impregnated by Anger. If you are bearing human anger towards anyone, now is the time to repent. Surrender it to God. Anger is a weapon of the enemy. Give it to God, so that He can take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it to good. Cain's anger would have been turned to good if he had repent and offered an acceptable sacrifice (see Genesis 4:3-8)

As you read this word, God is giving you a NOW command. "But NOW is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language". - Col 3:8

WHY?

Because the works of the flesh cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. (see Gal 5:19-21)

IT'S A TRICK

The enemy gets into your thinking; he knows what buttons to push to make you angry. He knows that we get "STUCK" on some things.

Anger is responsible for a lot of the failures in people's lives. We get angry and quit. We stop speaking, stop working, stop participating, stop attending.. We stop churching (it's that what the enemy wants). In our personal lives, we stop communicating, stop praying, stop trying, and we quit.

Stop it at the insult, because an Insult is the root of Anger. God's word says "But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language". - Col 3:8

Now is the time to surrender all the anger, all the rage, malicious behavior, the irritability; the meanness, the bitterness. Surrender your anger to God and ask Him to just take it away. I learned that to be FREE we have to let go. Don't hold on to the ledge of your anger. Let go and fall freely into a Sweeter relationship with the Lord. Woosah. . .
