When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with a firm resolve of the heart?Acts 11:23
We are at the end of 2005, and most of us will never forget the events that have taken place over the last twelve months. If you are reading this word, then you, like me, are very fortunate and blessed to be victor over the devastation that 2005 has shown us.
Today, lets talk about a Firm Resolve. The bible says that when Barnabas was sent to Antioch, he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with a firm resolve of the heart (Acts 11:23). Barnabas was an exhorter. His name means "son of encouragement". He encouraged them and told them to have a firm resolve, to purpose in their heart, and to remain true to the Lord.
My father passed away 894 days ago. I count the days with a smile, because I've purposed in my heart that I will never forget the love of my dear daddy. For the pass 894 days, I have thought of Dad lovingly, though sometimes with tears. His passing has made my walk with the Lord more assured. It is my Decision. You see, I am determined to see my Daddy again, I have firmly resolved in my heart that I will remain true to the Lord in every way, and that I will walk in the ways of the Lord according to His Holy Word. I've made-up my mind - that's my decision! I am predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will.
When I think about what has been happening in the earth lately. I am sure of this one thing. . . We are at the Day of Decision.
A Resolution is a firm resolve
A Firm Resolve is when you have purpose of heart
Purpose of Heart is a Made-up mind
A Made-up mind is A Decision
